Living Like a Christian When Life is Tough: Feeling Shame
Life Application Page:
(A Bible study printed in the bulletin each week that builds on the Sunday message)
“When Shame isn’t Shameful”
Biblical Text: Philippians 3:18-21
- What does it say (observation):
- What kind of people are being described here (vs. 18-19)?
- What are their traits?
- What is their destination?
- How does the Christian differ from that person (vs. 20-21)?
- Where must we focus for God to change us?
- What do you think (interpretation):
- How can you be ruled by your appetite?
- What does it mean to glory in your shame (think of examples)?
- What will you do as a result (application):
- Are you to comfortable with sin? Is there sin in your life that you are unashamed of?
- How will you more fully abandon the pursuit of earthly things that bring shame and pursue the things of God?
