May 1st, 2011: The Power of God: The Holy Spirit
Sunday we continued our study on the power of God as we looked at The Holy Spirit. Our focus was primarily in the book of Acts, chapters 1-2. The main focus of this initial study was to being to grasp the power God intends for us to operate with as believers. Yet too often we live relatively powerless lives. Once we can agree that there should be more, then we need to know how to get there. The road map to the Holy Spirit being active and present in our lives includes steps of surrender, asking, and believing, but there are also obstacles that can keep us from going there. If you missed the message Sunday, I hope you’ll take the time to listen online (click here). We closed the service with a time of person prayer and reflection allowing people to leave as they were ready. By the grace of God I believe Sunday was a day where many people took another important step in their walk with Christ. If you’ve seen God working in your life recently I hope you’ll share that with me.
