Mission Fundraiser

Hi Everybody!    We have another fundraising opportunity to help collect money for the mission trip, coming up in June for the youth that are going to Nicaragua.    The fundraiser will take place at Culvers in Rochelle.  Culver’s has agreed to do a share night for us.  It’s really fantastic.  We get 10% of the take on Wednesday, January 9 from 5-8pm at Culvers in Rochelle.   Take your family and friends out on January, 9th from 5-8pm and help support our mission trip and get a great meal or special treat at Culvers.  Culvers will also take additional gifts at the register via debit or credit cards.  And some of the youth will be at Culvers with a poster at a table showing what they will be doing in Nicaragua.   Let’s pack the house at Culvers, New Hope Fellowship Family.

Conquer Series is a powerful 10 week series that deals with sexual purity and all other addictions as well.

The facts are clear: the root of the problem is not the addiction.  The problem lies in how we deal with circumstances, pain, and trauma in our lives.  When we turn to anything other than Christ, this is when our enemy attempts to attack and destroy.

Conquer Series is not just a bible study.  It is a battle plan to use the weapons and truth found in Scripture to heal and renew our minds.  Conquer Series is for you or to help someone you know who may be struggling.

We will be meeting in the lower level of the church every Tuesday from 7-8:30pm.

Prayer Wall Challenge from our Youth Girls

Every week on Mondays from 7-8:30pm at New Hope, Morgan Baker and Alexis Bialas have been having so much fun teaching these girls how to live their L.I.F.E in the image of God. In the meantime, the girls have been teaching their leaders to become closer to God as well! And now they get to include our church, challenging them to get closer to God with their awesome new prayer wall for everyone to use!

At the bottom of the steps in the basement of New Hope is a partition wall, where you can add your prayers or jot down prayers to add to your prayer list.  Let’s pray for each other and grow in Christ as we do.  Remember if you are a 6th -10th grade girl, you too can enjoy L.I.F.E.: (Living In Faith Everyday) information below.

Attention Parents of 1st grade through 5th grade:

A Note on Kids in Worship:  Our 1st-5th graders have been joining us for worship on the 1st and 5th Sunday each month and we love having them.  We’ve tried to have them do their own worship on the other Sundays before their lesson, but it isn’t the same as getting to participate with the adults and learn worship as we model it for them.  So moving forward we’re going to have this class of kids join in for worship each Sunday and then we’ll send them to their class before the sermon.  Let’s welcome them and encourage them to join us in giving glory and honor to God.

Communion and Family Sunday for the children:

Hospitality Ministry:  If you like to help people feel the love of Jesus, there’s a place for you on the Hospitality Ministry. The Hospitality Ministry is a fun and yet low-key way to get connected. The team will help arrange for meals for church families when needed (birth of baby, death of loved one, health crisis, etc.)  Other areas the team will help out in will be church functions that would include a meal.  If this sounds like a way that you could serve others while showing the love of Jesus please call the church at 815-561-8400 (Also, if you know someone in church that needs a meal please contact the church office.) Sign up sheet in foyer

Interested in Worship Team? We would love to have more people join the worship team at New Hope and now we have a process through which that can take place.  If you love praising God vocally or instrumentally and think you might be called to join this team of worshipers, but you want to know what it would entail…You can now email Jake Waddle for a worship team application.  We want to help you determine if this is an area God may be calling you to serve in your church body.

Help Needed: In search of those who have an interest in learning how to run the tech booth.  Training will be provided. If interested contact Jacob Waddle or 815-501-3276
