Prayer Wall Challenge from our Youth Girls

Every week on Mondays from 7-8:30pm at New Hope, Morgan Baker and Alexis Bialas have been having so much fun teaching these girls how to live their L.I.F.E in the image of God. In the meantime, the girls have been teaching their leaders to become closer to God as well! And now they get to include our church, challenging them to get closer to God with their awesome new prayer wall for everyone to use!

At the bottom of the steps in the basement of New Hope is a partition wall, where you can add your prayers or jot down prayers to add to your prayer list.  Let’s pray for each other and grow in Christ as we do.  Remember if you are a 6th -10th grade girl, you too can enjoy L.I.F.E.: (Living In Faith Everyday) information below.

F.Y.I: Once in while, boxes of groceries are sitting on the benches outside the front door of the church after service.  Those items are things that a grocery store will soon have to throw away because of dates.  You are welcome to take whatever you would like.  ENJOY!

Hospitality Ministry:  If you like to help people feel the love of Jesus, there’s a place for you on the Hospitality Ministry. The Hospitality Ministry is a fun and yet low-key way to get connected. The team will help arrange for meals for church families when needed (birth of baby, death of loved one, health crisis, etc.)  Other areas the team will help out in will be church functions that would include a meal.  If this sounds like a way that you could serve others while showing the love of Jesus please call the church at 815-561-8400 (Also, if you know someone in church that needs a meal please contact the church office.)

Interested in Worship Team? We would love to have more people join the worship team at New Hope and now we have a process through which that can take place.  If you love praising God vocally or instrumentally and think you might be called to join this team of worshipers, but you want to know what it would entail…You can now email Jake Waddle for a worship team application.  We want to help you determine if this is an area God may be calling you to serve in your church body.

Help Needed: In search of those who have an interest in learning how to run the tech booth.  Training will be provided. If interested contact Jacob Waddle or 815-501-3276

Newsletter/Church Directory:  If you are not receiving the weekly emailed New Hope newsletter and would like to receive it please leave us your email address on the signup sheet at back table.  New Hope also publishes a church directory that we send out quarterly via email.  If you would like to be included in the directory or would like to receive a directory or just need to update your information please refer to the sign-up sheet at the back table and leave the necessary information.

2017 Bible Reading Plan:If you have a computer smart phone or tablet, you can download a Bible app called You Version.  This app includes many different versions of scripture and reading plans that you can follow.  This year we’ll be encouraging you to check out one called OWNit365 Whole Bible Plan or Listening to the Word.  In the app you can go to plans and search for it by name.

Listening to the Word: A great plan to use during your commute to work or anytime you would rather listen to the Bible. This plan is a one year Bible reading plan with daily devotional by Randy Friesen, General Director of MB Mission. May the Holy Spirit challenge, encourage, inspire, convict and instruct you as you listen to the Word.

OWNit365 Whole Bible Plan: The Whole Bible plan is a 6-day-a-week journey through the entire Bible with two readings per day. The acronym “OWN” represents one daily reading from the Old Testament, along with one from the Wisdom Books or New Testament. Each day’s reading is designed to balance both the amount you read as well as provide a section which is easier to understand and apply to your life.
