Do you ever find yourself fretting and worrying about stuff that takes up way too much space in your head? Have your worries grown over the last few years?
I recently ready that in 2019, the percentage of the adult population that had clinically significant anxiety or depression was at an all-time high – 11%. People were very concerned about this dramatic jump. Then in January 2021, researchers conducted the same survey, and the number spiked to 41%. I wouldn’t be surprised if that number has gone up again a year later. Either way, a lot of us are dealing with significant anxiety and depression.
Until we stop and access what is happening inside of us, we will probably find that we’re focusing on the wrong things. Most of us focus our time and energy on the very things that make us fret and worry. The reality is that… What you focus on is what you will see.
In this message, we dive into Psalm 37 and learn not only how to find the Lord and peace, but the true dangers of worry.
