One of the greatest aspects of Jesus Christ reflecting the heart of God is this concept/this way of life called forgiveness. Jesus forgave extravagantly. And because we have been forgiven by Him, we are called to forgive.
Christ will use the offense, the tragedy, the abuse we experience from others…..for a greater purpose. Jesus didn’t cause the offense, but He will use it for good. We can let Christ take the junk and watch Him create something beautiful from it.
Romans 8:28 “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” This is usually a long process, but Christ came to ultimately take us out of the offense, and instead live in His love, freedom, and power.
In our own will and strength, we can’t pull off true forgiveness. However, Jesus can! And He will do it through us!
