On Sunday we began a new series on the life of Samson, called “Strengths & Weaknesses.” Even in just unpacking the miraculous birth of Samson and beginning to examine his life we could see that what you do with your strengths and weaknesses will define your legacy. Samson doesn’t do a very good job managing his strengths and weaknesses, but somehow in the midst of the mess, we see God still using him. Not only does God use Samson to keep the Philistines at bay, but God does ultimately do a redemptive work in Samson’s heart despite all of his struggles. Thank God for his gracious mercy to use us, despite our struggles. Yet Samson stands as a warning for us to fully surrender. Will you trust God with your situation? Will you trust him enough to surrender your temptations or will you keep trying to manage them yourself and suffer the consequences of your pride?
