Many of God’s greatest characters in the Bible had times when they were completely overwhelmed with fear and weariness. We see that was the case for Elijah the prophet in 1st Kings 19 when he had a complete meltdown after being threatened by Queen Jezebel. The truth is, we all go through moments, times, seasons, even a lifetime in some cases, where the heaviness and threat of a circumstance weighs heavy on us and it feels as if we are getting crushed under it. And it’s during those times that we need to remember to first and foremost take our fear to God and look to Him and His word for wisdom, discernment, comfort, and peace.
We invite you to listen to this week’s sermon regarding the meltdown of Elijah and how God responded to him.
