We continued our sermon series this past Sunday by studying Psalm 90. This is the oldest of all the Psalms and it is written by Moses. Psalm 90 is all about age and time, morning and evening, and seasons and generations passing by in a blink of an eye. As the years pass by, we see that life has been hard – filled with lots of missteps, loss and wounds.
And if we live long enough, we start to realize that life is short. But here is the beautiful thing……Moses did not become bitter or pessimistic. The reality for Moses in Psalm 90 is that pondering these thoughts drove him deeper into relationship with the Lord.
Moses’ main point in this Psalm is that God will redeem our life and legacy not just in eternity, but right now while we are still in our flesh bodies. No matter what, here on this earth we must trust Christ to redeem our days past, present, and future..
